Ugreen Nexode 100W test: to charge your Apple devices, here is the MagSafe station you need

I noticed something wrong with my device charging habits. It is rare that I recharge more than two or three products at the same time, I rather have a routine: my devices need to be partially recharged during the day more than to be fully recharged. So while it’s great to have a super powerful charger, sometimes it makes more sense to have something smaller.

One of my favorite accessory makers is Ugreen, and this company offers yet another awesome charger, in the form of a 100W USB-C charger with MagSafe, and even a USB-A port for products that still use it.

This is a 100W charger, which means the maximum output the device is capable of is 100W.

Use one of the USB-C ports alone and it will output the full 100W, while the USB-A port can support 22.5W and the MagSafe port 15W. Start using multiple ports, and power per port will decrease.

The MagSafe charging pad tilts 65 degrees, allowing a good viewing angle of the iPhone screen

For example, using all three ports and the MagSafe wireless pad, you’ll get 45W on one USB-C port, 25W on another, 10W on USB-A, and 15W on the MagSafe pad.

I tested this charger by running it through various loads for extended periods of time, and it had no problem delivering the rated wattages.

As for the MagSafe charging stand, it tilts 65 degrees, which allows you to have a good viewing angle of the iPhone screen. The hinge is strong enough to hold it at your chosen angle, and the MagSafe’s magnets hold the device securely.

Efficient heat dissipation

Heat is another problem with high-power chargers. I ran the Ugreen Nexode 100W at full capacity using both the various ports and it stayed cool and stable throughout, thanks to the more efficient gallium nitride (GaN) technology and a design that dissipates heat effectively.

The Ugreen Nexode 100W USB-C 3-port MagSafe charging station is a very solid and well-designed piece of kit!
