UK and Denmark bring additional funds and weapons to Ukraine


COPENHAGEN, Aug 11 (Reuters) – Britain and Denmark announced on Thursday additional aid to Ukraine in the form of funding and arms, as part of an international donors conference in Copenhagen. this Thursday.

In a statement, Britain said it would provide Ukraine with more multiple-launch rocket systems, capable of hitting targets 80km away, to enable Ukraine to defend against artillery heavy Russian.

Denmark will meanwhile increase its financial aid to Ukraine by 110 million euros, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said at the conference.

“This is a war against the values ​​on which Europe and the free world are based… Today we reaffirm our commitment to support Ukraine,” she said.

The conference, which is hosted by Ukraine, Denmark and Britain, aims to discuss long-term support for Ukraine after the Russian invasion last February.

Denmark announced on Wednesday that it would send military instructors to Britain to help train Ukrainian soldiers and train Ukrainian officers on its soil.
