UK: Inflation picks up again in December


(CercleFinance.com) – According to the national statistics office, consumer prices in the United Kingdom rose at an annual rate of 5.4% in December 2021, a rate therefore up by 0.3 points compared to that of the previous month.

Including owner-occupier housing costs, the annual inflation rate rose 0.2 points to 4.8% last month, an acceleration driven by food, hotels and restaurants, furniture and clothing.
