Ukraine: A reinforced curfew decreed in Kyiv until Wednesday morning

LVIV, Ukraine, March 21 (Reuters) – The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitchko, announced on Monday an “enhanced curfew” in the Ukrainian capital from Monday evening 20:00 (1800 GMT) until Wednesday morning 07:00.

While several areas of the city are regularly the target of Russian bombardments, Vitali Klitchko clarified that shops, pharmacies and gas stations would remain closed on Tuesday in the Ukrainian capital.

“I ask everyone to stay at home – or in the shelters when the sirens are sounding,” he said.
