MOSCOW (Reuters) – A section of a gas pipeline passing near Luhansk, in one of the regions of eastern Ukraine held by pro-Russian separatists, caught fire following an explosion on Friday evening , report the Russian press agencies, quoting correspondents on the spot.
The gas pipeline was the victim of a “powerful explosion”, Interfax reported in particular, citing a local natural gas supplier.
About 40 minutes later, a second explosion sounded in the city of Luhansk, according to Russian news agencies, citing the authorities of this self-proclaimed republic. No casualties were reported immediately.
