The mayor of Paris must meet with her Ukrainian counterpart, Vitali Klitschko.
The two chosen ones meet. Visiting Paris on Wednesday February 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accompanied by Emmanuel Macron, flew to Brussels the next morning. For her part, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, took the road to kyiv, according to information from the Parisian confirmed by Le Figaro. The city councilor went there on Wednesday, without publicly revealing this trip for security reasons.
Expected by the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, the socialist must visit the City Council and meet with her Ukrainian counterpart. She is accompanied by Philippe Goujon, LR mayor of the 15th arrondissement, and Arnaud Ngatcha, deputy in charge of international relations. Last April, the two personalities had already met at the same place in a support visit to the city councilor.

In December, a deliberation of the Paris Council also endorsed the city’s decision to donate around twenty generators to Ukraine, in particular intended for schools and associations for the defense of LGBT rights, as specified by the Town Hall. .
More recently, Anne Hidalgo shared a message of firmness with regard to Russian athletes in view of the Olympic Games scheduled for Paris in 2024.
