Several explosions took place at dawn in the south-east of the Ukrainian capital, in the districts of Darnytsky and Dniprovsky, and an injured person was hospitalized, according to the mayor of kyiv Vitali Klitschko and witnesses.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, several cruise missiles were fired in the direction of kyiv by Russian TU-95 planes based in the Caspian Sea, one of which was destroyed.
Railway infrastructure was targeted, according to various Ukrainian sources, including the Ukrzaliznytsia railway company.
Moscow claimed to have destroyed tanks delivered by Eastern European countries.

“Prolong the conflict”
Shortly after these bombings, the Russian president warned that Moscow would strike new targets if the West supplied long-range missiles to Ukraine, which he said was aimed at “prolonging the conflict”.
In the event of such deliveries, Russia would strike “sites that we have not targeted so far”, Putin told the Rossiya-1 television channel, without further details.
These statements come a few days after the United States announced its decision to deliver to Ukraine Himars multiple rocket launchers with a range of about 80 km.
Military experts point out that this range is slightly greater than that of similar Russian systems, which would allow kyiv forces to strike enemy artillery from out of reach.
Crucial battles in Severodonetsk
At the same time in eastern Ukraine, crucial fighting continued in Severodonetsk, at the heart of the Russian offensive in the Donbass mining basin. This eastern region has been under the partial control of pro-Russian separatists since 2014 and Moscow hopes to conquer it in full.
