June 7 (Reuters) – Ukraine’s state-owned nuclear group Energoatom on Tuesday criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) willingness to visit the Russian military-occupied Zaporizhia power plant in southeastern Ukraine. eastern Ukraine, saying he had not “invited” the UN agency.

Rafael Grossi, director of the IAEA, said Monday that his organization was working to send an international mission of experts to Zaporizhia.

“We consider this message from the head of the IAEA as a new effort to get to the (plant) by any means in order to legitimize the presence of the occupants and basically condone all their actions,” Energoatom wrote on the Telegram messaging.
