June 26 (Reuters) – Several explosions occurred in a district of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Sunday, the city’s mayor Vitali Klichko said in a message posted on Telegram.
No details regarding the causes of the explosions or possible casualties were provided.
“Ambulances and paramedics have been dispatched to the scene. More information will follow,” he wrote. “Residents are being rescued and evacuated from two buildings.”
The explosions occurred in the Shevchenko district in central Kyiv.
