(Reuters) – Ukraine is seeking guarantees for the delivery of grain from Ukrainian ports with Turkey and the United Nations, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky said on Monday.

“Discussions are currently underway between Turkey, the United Nations and our representatives, who are responsible for the security of grain leaving our ports,” Volodimir Zelensky said at a press conference alongside the Prime Minister. Swedish Magdalena Andersson.

Volodimir Zelensky said Ukraine was working “directly” with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on this issue, and that the organization was “playing a major role (in these discussions) and not a moderator”.

Media outlets have suggested in recent weeks that such talks will soon be held in Turkey.
