Investing.com – Ukraine has announced a cryptocurrency airdrop. The snapshot will take place tomorrow at 2 p.m. Kyiv time to reward donors. At this time, it is unclear which blockchains will be eligible.
Airdrop will consist of sending tokens to wallets as a reward. Often, airdrops are part of a marketing campaign to launch new projects, promote milestones, or issue a new token to replace an existing token. A snapshot of the blockchain is taken at a specific time, and all included wallet addresses receive the rewards.
In this case, it looks like Ukraine will send a reward in the form of an NFT or token to all wallets that donated before the snapshot deadline.
Ukrainian government portfolios
The official Ukrainian address has received 213 BTC so far, with a total of 9387 transactions since February 24. The address also sent an equal number of BTC to what appears to be an exchange wallet.
There have been over 19,000 transactions on the country’s wallet, and the government sent over 6.5 million ERC20 tokens to the Kuna exchange on February 28.
Their portfolio received a similar $6.1 million, the majority of which came from Gavin Wood. However, there have only been 865 transactions from this address.
