Jan 13 (Reuters) – Russian forces have taken the eastern Ukrainian town of Soledar, the Russian Defense Ministry was quoted by state media as saying on Friday.
The ministry added that Russia’s capture of the city would allow its troops to contain Ukrainian forces in the larger nearby city of Bakhmout.
