ATclose to the information released on Friday by the Élysée, the general staff of the armed forces specifies that France has decided to strengthen its system within the framework of NATO, in order to consolidate the eastern flank of the Atlantic Alliance. This will include building muscle mmeans already in place, including the army’s Lynx mission in Estonia. While it was to be terminated in a few weeks, the 5and regiment of Dragons and its Leclerc tanks will be relieved by 200 alpine chasseurs from the 27and mountain brigade, forces accustomed to difficult terrain and extreme cold, trained in “attrition combat”.
