KYIV (Reuters) – Ukrainian naval drones attacked and sank two Russian landing ships in Crimea, Ukrainian Military Intelligence said on Friday.

The two small Russian amphibious vessels were attacked in Vouzka Bay, in the western part of the peninsula annexed in 2014 by Russia. “Intelligence collected on November 10 after the attack…shows that two small Russian landing ships were destroyed,” military intelligence said.

According to the Ukrainian military, there were crews and armored vehicles on board both ships.

Reuters was unable to verify the information. Russia, whose Black Sea Fleet is based in Sevastopol, did not comment.

According to Ukrainian authorities, Russian artillery fire and drone attacks killed three people and damaged infrastructure, power lines and a gas pipeline in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions in southern Ukraine.
