The Kremlin has confirmed that Vladimir Putin will soon visit the region of eastern Ukraine, annexed at the end of September 2022 by Russia.

” EIn due course, of course (such a visit) will happen. It is a region of Russia,” spokesman for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, told the press when asked about a possible upcoming trip by Vladimir Putin to Donbass. The region of eastern Ukraine, annexed at the end of September 2022 by the Russian army, is however not entirely controlled by the latter. The Russian president has not yet been there since the official announcement of its annexation by Russia.
