Despite a Ukrainian lawsuit at the World Trade Organization (WTO), Slovakia wants to stick to its ban on imports of certain agricultural products from Ukraine. This is what Agriculture Minister Jozef Bires told the TASR news agency in the evening after discussions between the EU agriculture ministers in Brussels. Kiev has filed a lawsuit with the WTO against the three neighboring states Poland, Hungary and Slovakia over their ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. Bires was “surprised” by the lawsuit and defended the Slovakian actions.

According to Ukrainian sources, the center of the second largest Ukrainian city, Kharkiv, was attacked by Russian missiles. “Kharkiv is being attacked again by Russian missiles,” writes Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram. “According to initial information, central districts are being attacked.” Several other Telegram users reported explosions in the city.

Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius is not taking part in an international meeting to support Ukraine at the US air force base in Ramstein due to corona disease. A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense confirmed this in the evening. At the US base in Rhineland-Palatinate on Tuesday, senior military officials and defense ministers from numerous countries discussed further help for Ukraine in its defense against Russia.
