According to the local governor, Ukraine continued shelling the Russian border region of Kursk all day Saturday. Governor Alexei Smirnov wrote on Telegram that Ukrainian forces had repeatedly shelled eight border villages. Two people were injured. A video he posted on his Telegram channel shows a destroyed house and rubble. Smirnov had previously reported the deaths of five people in a Ukrainian drone attack early Saturday morning.

Rescue workers are clearing the rubble of a Russian attack on the city of Vilniansk in Zaporizhia Oblast. After the completion of the search and rescue operations, it is clear: seven people were killed, including two children, and 31 people were injured, including eight children. “The fire was extinguished simultaneously in two places: in a two-story building and cars parked nearby, covering an area of 300 square meters, and in two one-story buildings covering an area of 150 square meters. The search and rescue operations have been completed,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
Parked cars were also hit and set on fire.
