Umbrella Academy (Netflix): we know the release date of the final season of the series

Take out your umbrellas, the last six episodes of the series Umbrella Academy will drop on Netflix on August 8! A “crazy and sexy” final season

Inspired by graphic novels written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, Umbrella Academy follows the trials and tribulations of a dysfunctional family of superheroes who first come together to solve the mystery of their father’s death, before having to face several apocalyptic threats.

If we don’t yet know exactly what Viktor, Klaus, Allison, Diego, Luther and Five will have to face in the final season of the show, we remember that they all found themselves destitute s of powers at the end of season 3.

During Geek Week organized by Netflix last fall, the actors ofUmbrella Academy suggested that this season 4 had farewells in store”crazy and sexy” to the characters of the series.

In addition to the release date of this latest season, Netflix has posted several posters of the series online. They show the evolution of each member of the Hargreeves family between the first season of the show and the last.

A (small) rain of new characters

In addition to Elliot Page (Viktor), Tom Hopper (Luther), David Castañeda (Diego), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Aidan Gallagher (Five), Justin H. Min (Ben ), Ritu Arya (Lila) and Colm Feore (Reginald) season 4 ofUmbrella Academy will welcome several new characters.

According to VarietyNick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, The Last of Us) and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Percy Jackson and the Olympians) play doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau, two faculty professors who suffer from a strong feeling of deja -vu.

David Cross (Arrested Development, Alvin and the Chipmunks) lends his features to Sy Grossman, a gentle but moral business owner and father.

Umbrella Academy began on Netflix in 2019 and its second season was released quickly in 2020. Season 3, however, only arrived on the streaming platform in June 2022. It then spent five weeks in the top 10 most viewed programs on the SVOD service.

It is therefore a little more than two years later that season 4 will finally entertain us. A long wait for this last season which, we hope, will live up to what made the success of the show developed by Steve Blackman.
