Seventeen years after the end of the adventure, “Un, dos, tres” will return in the form of a sequel entitled “UPA Next”. While a first synopsis was recently unveiled, Beatriz Luengo, alias Lola, has just announced very good news to fans.

If you are one of the viewers who thrilled, between 2004 and 2005 on M6, in front of the adventures rich in love stories, betrayals, and choreographies of all kinds by the students and teachers of the Academy of Performing Arts of Carmen Arranz, then the upcoming return of Un, dos, tres is undoubtedly one of the events of the year 2022.

The cult series, which has 6 seasons and no less than 130 episodes, is indeed preparing to make its big comeback in Spain in the form of a sequel called UPA Next, in reference to the original title. An adelante paso and the group UPA Dance, which several actors from Un, dos, tres had formed in the 2000s, in parallel with the filming.

Composed of eight episodes and intended for the Spanish streaming platform Astresplayer, this highly anticipated revival will see the return of three emblematic actors from the cult series: Beatriz Luengo, Mónica Cruz, and Miguel Ángel Muñoz, who will resume their roles as Lola for the occasion, Silvia, and Roberto.

And if no broadcast date has yet been revealed, the filming has indeed begun! In order to formalize her participation in the project, Beatriz Luengo announced in several languages ​​yesterday on social networks that she was starting today, Tuesday July 12, the shooting of her first scenes for UPA Next.

“Lola is back! Tomorrow I start filming UPA Next”, can we read in an Instagram post published by the 39-year-old actress on her account, which has more than 800,000 subscribers. A message that obviously did not take long to panic the fans of Un, dos, tres.

What will the sequel to Un, dos, tres be about?

Seventeen years after the broadcast of the last episode of Un, dos, tres, part of the team will therefore meet again to the delight of fans. And this sequel event will notably take the form of a handover between the emblematic heroes of the series and a whole new generation of students.

Here is the official synopsis unveiled a few days ago by the production: “More than 15 years have passed when Roberto returns from the United States with the idea of ​​putting on a musical featuring the hits of UPA Dance. And while the reunion with Silvia and Lola does not go as planned, the illusion of putting together this musical finally manages to bring them together again”.

“Silvia, Lola, and Roberto decide to organize new school entrance exams, where they will discover a multitude of young dancers, singers and composers ready to make the school vibrate with a new rhythm”.

The names of the new actors who will play opposite Mónica Cruz, Beatriz Luengo, and Miguel Ángel Muñoz have not yet been revealed, but fans can in any case expect to find Lola Herrera, who should also return to the role of Carmen Arranz, the headmistress of the school.

Unlike Pablo Puyol and Silvia Marty, the interpreters of Pedro and Ingrid, who seem to absent subscribers and should not appear in UPA Next. For now anyway.

No French broadcaster has been announced at this time. But, in the meantime, fans of Un, dos, tres can find the entire original series on the Salto platform.
