In the last episodes of Un Si Grand Soleil, Gaëlle Lestrac (Hélène Degy) had managed to escape from prison under the initiative of her fellow prisoner, Pauline (Perrine Tourneux), who convinced her to join her in counterfeit money making operation.
Torn between her loyalty to Pauline, who helped her escape when her hopes of parole for good behavior had just been dashed, and the prospect of negotiating a new sentence adjustment if she collaborates with the police, Gaëlle had finally chose the second option to try to save his skin.
After talking with Claudine, his lawyer, Gaëlle told Judge Alphand of her intention to collaborate with the police in order to stop the counterfeiters in time, by becoming their informant. On one condition: that Alex (Benjamin Bourgois) becomes his liaison agent. Which inevitably caused a rapprochement between the two ex-lovers…
But as Gaëlle’s undercover mission got more complicated, with Pauline’s accomplices growing suspicious of her and threatening to get rid of her, time was running out to launch the intervention operation to stop them. ; the priority for Alex being to get Gaëlle out of this impasse as quickly as possible.
In an unpublished extract from the episode of Wednesday May 10 unveiled by France TV, we discover that the police will finally manage to locate the hideout of Pauline and the traffickers. When she finds herself challenged by the intervention team, Pauline, discovering Gaëlle’s betrayal, will aim her weapon at Alex… and be shot.
Gaëlle rushes towards her while she is dying to ask her forgiveness, but it is already too late; Pauline breathes her last by insulting the one she thought was honest and loyal to her. Gaëlle will therefore emerge unscathed from her mission, Pauline’s accomplices being arrested.
But at what cost ? Will justice be lenient towards her given the risks she took to achieve this? As for Alex, will he be able to cope with the feelings he still has for his ex-girlfriend if she manages to be released from prison?
