Un Si Grand Soleil: “A love story is possible between Léonor and Enric” reveals Maeva Pasquali

While she has just joined L. Cosmétiques, Léonor is approaching Enric in parallel in “Un si grand soleil”. Maeva Pasquali, his interpreter, tells us more about his character and what awaits him during the next episodes of the series.

Léonor made a remarkable entrance in Un si grand soleil. Divorced from Marc, she remained on good terms with him until her jealousy towards Myriam undermined the journalist’s confidence. Despite everything, Marc pleaded his case with Élisabeth so that she definitely joined L. Cosmétiques.

At the same time, Léonor is slowly getting closer to Enric, her new colleague. While the ghost of Myriam still hovers in Léonor’s life, will the latter give this budding love story a chance?

Maeva Pasquali, the interpreter of Léonor, confided in the microphone of Allociné on her character and what awaits her during the next episodes of the daily soap opera of France 2.

Allociné: What did you like about the role of Léonor?

Maeva Pasquali: What I liked was that for once it wasn’t a comedy role. They trusted me for other things because they often call me for the hysterical sisters or the crazy ones (laughs).

For once, she was a tidy girl. I said to myself, “That’s it, I’ve reached a mature age where I’m offered tidy girls“. In the end, Léonor is not like that at all (laughs). It gives me pleasure to build a different character than what I used to do.

If the character of Léonor seduced me a lot when I was offered the role, I also really wanted to try a daily. I didn’t know the concept at all. I found that extremely interesting.

I feel like I’m in the middle of a war machine. It’s very rich for us actors because we shoot with a lot of different directors. I think it’s only in dailies that you can have these things. We never get bored.

It immediately matched Cesar Meric And Sylvain Boccarayour fictional family?

Right away ! It was obvious, very simple and very easy between us. We hit it off right away. César had started filming two months before but the production had not yet found his wife. We did an audition together to see if it matched between us.

It was at the second audition that Sylvain came. We took pictures to see if it could do it. It really worked right away. I am very happy to have them as my family. We are on the same wavelength all three. It’s very nice.

Léonor has just officially joined L. Cosmétiques. Now that things have been straightened out, how will the collaboration with Elisabeth go (Chrystelle Labaud)?

I just finished my ark and haven’t received the new texts yet so I don’t know. I still suspect that Elisabeth is burying the hatchet and that she remains super professional. All that matters to him in the end is that his box turns.

Now that she said yes to hiring Leonor, she won’t go back on it, that’s obvious. All that matters to her is that Léonor works well. They will surely not be friends in the coming weeks but in any case they talk to each other.

Léonor doesn’t want any trouble. She just wants to do her job. She tells herself that since Elisabeth has accepted, the story is over. Moreover, Léonor is not one to make waves.

Will Léonor end up learning that it was Marc who made Elisabeth change her mind about being hired?

I don’t know. But as things always end up being known, it is very likely that Léonor will learn it one of these four.

On the heart side, Léonor has just met Enric (Julien Masdoua). If the current passes rather well between them, it is however not yet ready to put in couple. Is a love story still possible between them?

Léonor and Enric will get closer. Afterwards, I don’t know how far it will go but she will backtrack. Despite everything, I think that a love story is possible between them yes.

We finally have the impression that the ghost of Myriam (Pauline Paolini) is still very present in Léonor’s life…

Oh yes. It’s painful at the end anyway (laughs)! She thought she was rid of it but not at all (laughs). She is very present for a dead person but hey, Léonor is not 16 and knows very well that people have had stories before. She had it too.

In fact, Léonor is a character who assumes what he does. She’s a fairly straightforward and honest girl even when she does something silly. She’s not a coward. When Enric tells her on their first date that he had an affair with Myriam, she recognizes herself a little in him. Honesty always works. In my opinion, it touches Léonor more and that’s why she decides to give this story a chance.

Is Léonor still in love with Marc?

I think there is always something for Marc. There was always something a few months ago. Is it love or loneliness? When you look closely, Léonor has no confidant or friend. He is a character who is quite lonely. She is essentially accompanied by Dimitri (Victorien Robert) because they work together. They are friends but not confidants.

I think she convinced herself that she was still in love with Marc when in fact she was just having a hard time dealing with her loneliness. Thanks to her rapprochement with Enric, I can clearly see that she has another relationship with Marc.

What is quite paradoxical is that when they are on the phone and they don’t see each other, they are quite accomplices. On the other hand, as soon as they see each other, they are like dog and cat. As soon as there is a physical thing, they can’t stand each other anymore (laughs).

There is a kind of good understanding between them at the moment. Marc is going to have an affair. Léonor knows it by heart. She already knows what’s going to happen and she’s going to tell him about it. But for once, he doesn’t take it the wrong way.

We feel that Léonor has gained more self-confidence. She feels a little stronger. As a result, her relationship with Marc is a little healthier. For his part, Marc is much more serene towards her too.

As you said, Léonor is a character who ultimately interacts little outside of her family setting. Since his arrival at L. Cosmétiques, however, one has the impression that a friendship is taking shape with Berthier (Khalid Maadour)…

Exactly. Léonor gets along very well with Berthier. He’s a real nice guy. There is this friendship with him but also with Enric. It is benevolent between them. So far it’s going well. I think the writers are making Leonor’s character a bit lighter and funnier.

In my opinion, that’s why they brought Léonor and Enric together. Not necessarily to make big comedy but just a little lightness. There is still a lot of drama in the series though. It is not good to live in Montpellier (laughs).
