Friday, December 2 in Such a big sun…
JOHANNA REPROACHES YANN FOR LEADING AN INVESTIGATION
Yann and Johanna have been summoned to court. Indeed, the police need to search Master Cabestan’s home. Even if Johanna reminds him that his uncle said he was with a loan shark at the time of his wife’s death, Yann still needs evidence to back up his statement. Annoyed, she accuses him of carrying out an investigation.
For her part, Elisabeth fears going to prison for her false testimony. Alain then assures him of the contrary, especially since Superintendent Becker has promised him. However, she risks a little reprieve or a large fine.
During this time, the police arrested Mr. Poirier, the loan shark. Unfortunately, the latter denies having met Guilhem and then claims that he is an insurance broker, which is true. Guilhem’s alibi therefore falls apart. Although Lt. Cross contemplates that Poirier might be lying, the loan shark’s cell number is from a prepaid phone. So it’s word against word. And since Guilhem’s phone was off at the time of Sylvie’s death, there is nothing to confirm or deny that Guilhem was with the victim.
Not far from there, Johanna asks for help from Claudine who finds the medical examiner’s report very light. It must be said that to conclude to a homicide only because of scratches on the arms at the time of death, it is very light for an autopsy report. As the origin of the fall could be accidental, she advises Johanna to request a counter-autopsy.
Without waiting, Johanna and Claudine call Judge Alphand and request a new expertise, which Cécile ends up accepting. After hanging up, Johanna warmly thanks her colleague for her support. Being close to Lieutenant Cross, Claudine urges him to use this resource to obtain elements that can advance the investigation.
In the evening, Lieutenant Cross informs Guilhem that he will be brought the next day before a judge who will decide on the follow-up to be given to this investigation. In the meantime, he will spend the night at the Palais de Justice depot. For her part, Johanna swears to her uncle to get him out of there before reproaching Yann once again for carrying out an investigation.
As the tone rises, Yann offers Johanna to continue the conversation elsewhere than at the police station. Afterwards, they find themselves at the straw hut where Yann explains that he needs to understand what happened and to obtain proof. Moreover, he would like her to trust him on this investigation. If Johanna recognizes that he is very serious as a cop, she specifies however that he still has progress to make as a guy.
Yann, who recognizes him, then apologizes for leaving like a thief after their night of love and confides that it was the first time he spent the night with a woman other than his own. Although he feels a lot of guilt, he swears that this night means a lot to him. Shortly after, Yann goes to pay for their drinks at the bar, leaving his mobile phone on the table and receives a message from Hugo. Curious, Johanna reads it without knowing that Yann sees her doing it.
NOÉMIE FACES NEW PROVOCATIONS
While she is preparing boxes of vegetables on her land, Noémie smells a bad smell. Certain that William has resumed his spreading, Akim and Noémie go to meet him and film him in action.
Shortly after, Noémie reproaches him for spraying pesticides on his land. William indicates that this is not the case then tells her that it is not she who is going to teach him his trade. Far from letting it go, the young woman says that for four years she has been struggling to clean up the land that it rots with its pesticides. But nothing helps, William has been working like this for twenty years and intends to continue like this.
Noémie then calls Ludo to get the contact details of the lawyer he knows. Indeed, if William continues his malicious acts, she risks losing her organic label. Ludo then gives him Johanna’s number.
At the same time, Akim examines the environmental code to find out if there are rules concerning the spreading of phytosanitary products on the edge of organic farms.
LUDO AND CHRISTOPHE RECONCILIATE
At the zoo, Christophe meets Ludo after having vaccinated giraffes. After he’s exchanged a few pleasantries with him, the vet offers him a drink later that day. Indeed, Christophe believes that it is a pity that they remain cold when they meet regularly. Ludo accepts without hesitation.
Subsequently, Christophe and Ludo meet over a beer. The opportunity for the veterinarian to confide in his new life with Cécile, the woman of his life. And as much to say that Ludo is very happy for him. When Christophe asks him about his love life, Ludo explains that he goes through very complicated stories and that in the end he is alone. A news that does not really surprise Christophe who knows that his friend has always been very romantic. However, he says he is certain that he will find love.
On returning, Christophe enthusiastically tells Cécile and Margot that he has reconciled with Ludo. When her brother-in-law leaves to take a shower, Margot takes the opportunity to learn a little more about the story between Ludo and Christophe.
