Friday March 8 in Un Si Grand Soleil…

Ludo discovers that Eliott has been hired on the farm

Becker announces to Elise, Alex and Manu that the prosecutor has decided to open a preliminary investigation on the basis of William Chalon’s complaint. Elise makes it clear to her superior that she maintains a more than friendly relationship with the complainant’s daughter, pushing Becker to ask Alex to team up with Manu on this case.

Eliott arrives at William’s farm to begin his mission. He introduces himself to William and Elodie, tells them that he heard about the seasonal worker position, and assures that even if he has no experience in the agricultural field, he learns quickly and has studied veterinary medicine. William quickly accepts his application. Eliott explains that he spent a few years in prison for stupid things, that he then went abroad and that he is back because he needs to work. William appreciates his frankness and welcomes him.

Elodie seems a little less excited. She then lets her father know that perhaps they should have given themselves time to think. But William replies to his daughter that Eliott inspires confidence in him and that, in any case, they have no other candidate.

Patrice Bienvenu, the boss of Engrais Plus, arrives at the police station with her lawyer, Serge Levars. The latter announces to Manu that Bienvenu is providing them with the Fertilizer Plus archive documents to prove that he has nothing to hide.

During his interrogation, Bienvenu assures that the company’s former chemist lied about the toxicity of Fertilizer Plus products. For him, this employee simply did not accept being fired and decided to react after reading the lies peddled by the press in order to create buzz. But Manu retorts that this man was fired after declaring that the levels of glyphosates in the products were higher than the standard. And that he did not speak to create a buzz, but to denounce the illness of his colleagues.

Bienvenu ends up losing patience and getting angry. Serge Levars tries to calm the situation by declaring that his client simply cannot cope with wasting his time responding to slander while his company creates jobs.

At the Chalon farm, Ludo comes across Eliott and discovers that he was hired by William. He tells Elodie that he knows Eliott well and that he is not a good person. He even adds that he is a dangerous person.

Elisabeth is caught up in a mysterious affair

Elisabeth complains about her assistant to Alain. She had asked him to book her a ticket on the 12:30 p.m. flight to Luxembourg, but she forgot to do so. Alain is annoyed to see that his partner did not take the trouble to warn him of her absence until Thursday. Elisabeth apologizes for not being able to go to their dinner at the Cazaux’s but assures Alain that she will be back for the weekend and that they will be at peace once she has settled this important matter.

Later, at L Cosmétiques, Boris reminds Elisabeth that they have a meeting that same day with the development agency of the Occitanie region to ask for support to prospect in China. Élisabeth replies that she has completely forgotten and that she doesn’t have time. Boris makes it clear to his boss that they cannot afford to postpone this meeting, and Elisabeth then suggests that he go without her, accompanied by Berthier. Elisabeth trusts them fully but still advises them to be good.

Once alone with Berthier and Léonor, Boris appears annoyed. He does not accept that Elisabeth has let them down even though this meeting represents a big stake. Berthier then points out that Elisabeth has been less present and less motivated for some time. Léonor tries to reassure them: she is certain that they will perform.

At the same time, François announces to Laurine that he is going to Luxembourg with Elisabeth to meet new bankers for their project. He explains to his daughter that if these bankers accept, they will have taken a new step. Then asks him not to tell Boris about it because it’s confidential.

During the meeting, the development agency announces to Boris and Berthier that their project has been accepted. Both men are relieved. This aid will allow them to adapt their commercial offers in China.

The agency manager tells them that they must plan a one-week stay there to see as many prospects as possible. She insists on one point: Elisabeth will have to go there in person. For the Chinese, it is a mark of respect when leaders travel. Boris assures that even if his boss had an obstacle today, she is very invested in the project. The agency manager asks Boris and Berthier to communicate their availability as quickly as possible.

In the evening, Boris discusses the situation with Laurine and tells her of his annoyance regarding Elisabeth. He then learns from his sister that their father, with whom he was supposed to have dinner, has left urgently for Luxembourg for an important meeting. Intrigued, the young man tries to find out more but Laurine refuses to tell him anything.
