VIRGIL TAKES OFF
Virgil and Alix are at sea and spend their last moments together. Even if he doesn’t know when they will be able to see each other again, Virgil is nevertheless convinced that the police will end up letting their guard down one day. Alix prefers to see the bright side of things. In fact, she plans to have a mega party for their canceled wedding. In reality, the gallery owner mainly tries to hide her pain and uses humor to avoid crying. While Virgil tells him that she will remain the woman of his life, she urges him to pay attention to him. Virgil then tells her one last time that he loves her before letting her go. It is only when she gets into the boat that will allow her to return to dry land that Alix then lets out a few tears.
At the police station, Yann and Commissioner Becker take stock of the investigation. According to the harbor master’s office, Virgile left the marina the day before. As everything suggests that he has fled, the commissioner decides to make a report to Interpol. However, the police still find it curious that Virgil fled just as they were going to arrest him. They therefore wonder if he was not warned by someone from home.
Not far from there, Alix calls Ludo and tells him that the wedding is canceled. Since he wants to know why, she makes him believe that her fiancé must have been absent and that she now needs time to think. Alix struggles to contain her emotion.
For his part, Manu is back at the police station and immediately demands to speak to Commissioner Becker because he understood that his superior had sent him to Spain to keep him away from the investigation into Virgil. If Becker believes that he saved him from making a mistake, Manu criticizes him for not having trusted him.
At the same time, Tom thanks Achilles for warning him about Virgil. Now, the teenager hopes that his protector was not arrested by the police. It must be said that Tom feels guilty for having destroyed Virgil’s life. Without him, he would never have left. Although Achilles reminds him that he only did this to help his mother, Tom mainly sees that he finds himself back at square one. Despite everything, Achille trusts his friend and assures him that he has changed. According to him, he even understood that he had to stop the nonsense.
At Alix’s request, Hélène prepares the wedding cancellation email in order to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. The gallery owner then goes to the police station where she is questioned by Lieutenant Cross. Obviously, Alix claims that she knows nothing about the disappearance of her ex-fiancé.
For their part, Eve and Manu discuss Virgil’s departure. And suffice to say that the couple struggles to understand why they sacrificed everything for a teenager they barely know. For them, Virgil felt too guilty since Léa’s death and wanted to save someone to make up for it.
At the end of the day, Alix gives Tom a letter from Virgil. He is moved when he reads Virgil’s last words:
“Tom, I first want to tell you how happy I was to have met you and I wish I could have gone a little further with you. But life has decided otherwise. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet again one day. Whatever happens, I’m sure you’ll turn out to be a good guy.
You’ve been through a lot of difficult times. You will probably experience others but whatever happens, you must never give up. Never. Life still has plenty of precious things to offer you. You have to take every chance that comes your way. You can and you must make something beautiful out of it. Have confidence in yourself and tell yourself that you deserve it. There you go, now it’s you and you alone who has the keys to the truck. I wish you good luck.“.
Several kilometers away, Virgil sets sail on his boat with the ghost of Léa whom he holds tightly in his arms…
LUDO GETS LOST A LITTLE MORE IN HIS FEELINGS
Ludo and Noémie decided to take a little getaway to take stock of their feelings. Ludo would like to take her to the Pyrenees, which doesn’t really surprise the young woman since they had already talked about it in the past.
At the end of the day, Ludo joins Jade at her workplace and clears things up with her. He then makes it clear to her that nothing will ever happen between them again because he wants to be with Noémie. When he suggests that they remain friends, Jade retorts that she came back to Montpellier only for him. Just as he is about to leave, Ludo gives in to temptation and kisses Jade passionately.
For her part, Noémie confides in Élodie about her story with Ludo. Although they have a heavy history, the young woman begins to believe again that a love story is possible between them.
