Chloe made her choice
Pierre Andrieu is taken to the police station to be questioned by Elise and Akim. He confesses and admits having tried to kill Chloe because of the column she wrote. According to him, she made her daughter pass for an alcoholic when she lost her life in a car accident.
It was the young woman’s boyfriend who was driving at the time, but it was her daughter who died. In her column, Chloe boasted of having participated in the decision to reduce the boy’s sentence. He should have taken 3 to 5 years and instead he only spent a few weeks in prison.
He knew that Chloé was the author of this column when her name leaked on social networks. Akim reminds him that he faces up to 30 years in prison for an assassination attempt, but Pierre doesn’t care. Her life ended the day her daughter died.
For her part, Cécile Alphand informs Chloé that Pierre Andrieu has admitted to being the author of the shots, threats and insults. However, he denies having sent the anonymous email. Chloé regrets having written her legal chronicles without thinking of the people concerned. Cécile points out that nothing justifies an assassination attempt.
Not far from there, François finds Claudine in her office. He confides in his friend how much Laurine disappointed him. She only made things worse with Evan. Now that he knows that the clinic project fell through, François is finally interested in investing in the real estate project that Claudine told him about last week.
A few hours later, Chloé meets Laurine in the halls of the hospital. The young woman takes the opportunity to ask him sarcastically if Chloe has finally decided to take care of her husband.
The latter does not disassemble and accuses him of having tried everything to mess up their marriage. She then summons Laurine to stay away from Evan otherwise she will regret it. The young woman provokes her by asking her if it’s a threat, because in this case, she’s scared to death. In response, Chloe slaps him and leaves smiling.
Evan had shoulder surgery. He confides to his wife that the surgeon is not very optimistic, and that he may never be able to regain his mobility before. Chloe tries to encourage him. She knows that her husband is strong and strong-willed, and that he will recover sooner than he thinks.
Chloe then calls Marc because she wants to see him. In the evening, she announces to him that she has chosen to save her marriage. Marc thinks she’s reacting emotionally, but that’s not the case. She must make a choice. The journalist wants her to take the time to decide, without success. Chloe caresses his face and asks him to take care of him before leaving.
Hélène has a plan against Christian
Alix’s new adventure is making great strides. An exhibition of 18th century letters will soon take place at the gallery. Among these letters will be slipped a fake encrypted letter. Thanks to his talents as a chemist, Bilal is about to reproduce the ink that will make it possible to write this famous missive.
Hélène is in charge of the coding while Christian has convinced collectors to lend him letters for the exhibition. For her part, Alix has not yet found the castle in which the fake Butcher will be hidden, but she continues to search. Christian is delighted with their collaboration, and is already thinking about what’s next. Alix, however, suggests that he be patient.
What Christian doesn’t know is that Hélène has a little surprise in store inside the fake letter. The first letters of each word will make it possible to form the sentence “Christian Peyrac is a forger”.
Claire calls Victor because they had planned to hike together in 15 days, and the young woman must book the cottage. So she wants to make sure her father hasn’t changed his mind. But Victor seems to have forgotten the hike and cut the conversation short. Claire is worried about her father, but Florent tries to put things into perspective and reassure her.
His father must be overwhelmed at the straw hut. For her part, Hélène, who has joined Victor at the bar, realizes that her friend is very tense. She encourages him to talk to her. Victor is ready to discuss with her but around a dinner, in two days. Helen agrees.
