The investigation into the Verneuil affair took a dramatic turn in “Un si grand soleil” with the tragic loss of Carole Martinez. But is she really dead?

Attention, the following paragraphs contain many spoilers on the next episodes of Un si grand Soleil. If you don’t want to know anything, don’t read on!

For several days, the faithful of Un si grand soleil have been living at the frantic pace of the investigation into the Verneuil affair.

By agreeing to defend Philippe Verneuil, one of his first clients, Florent (Fabrice Deville) was far from imagining the nightmare that awaited him and that he would fall into an infernal spiral endangering Enzo’s life ( Teilo Azais).

It must be said that with her father, Aurore (Clara Huet) has devised a plan as Machiavellian as it is unstoppable to get him out of prison: manipulate Enzo then make people believe in his kidnapping to force Florent to tell them where Carole Martinez is ( Valérie Decobert), the key witness in the drug trafficking case. What purpose ? That of removing it so that no one can testify against Philippe and that justice is forced to release him.

Unfortunately, their plans worked and led to the tragic death of Carole during the episodes broadcast on France 2 this Wednesday, July 27 on the occasion of an exceptional evening. And if his death was officially announced by judge Alphand (Marie-Gaëlle Cals) herself, leaving a completely devastated Gary, the reality could be quite different.

Is Carole Martinez really dead?

The answer is of course no! It would indeed have been surprising if Florent betrayed all his principles. It was a simple staging orchestrated by Florent and Becker (Yvon Back).

Refusing to be the accomplice of an assassination, Florent had informed his ex-father-in-law of the terrible blackmail exercised by Aurore. With the help of judge Alphand, they then mounted a police operation to fool the latter.

According to information from News Actual, Carole went to the court parking lot following her confrontation with Verneuil. However, instead of getting into the car with Bourdais as originally planned, the executive assistant was carried to safety by two police officers. At the same time, a policewoman wearing a bulletproof vest took her place alongside the security guard. After leaving the courthouse, they are the ones who were targeted by an avalanche of bullets fired by Pilar (Catalina Denis) and her accomplice Samuel.

While Carole is alive and well, Gary (Alban Aumard) still believes she is dead. Despite everything, Carole will still need a lot of patience before she can tell the man who made her smile that she is finally safe and sound.

How will Gary react when he hears the news? Will the police manage to corner Aurore and her accomplices? One thing is certain, this plot has not yet delivered all its twists and should still have a few surprises in store for us!
