Before discovering what 2023 has in store for us, let’s take a look back at the highlights of “Un Si Grand Soleil” from the past year. From the death of Myriam to the murderous madness of Christophe, nothing will have been spared us!
Once again, life will definitely have been very eventful under the Montpellier sun!
If in 2021 the screenwriters of Un si grand soleil had done well with the death of Elsa Chalin (Julie Boulanger) and the departure of Julien Bastide (Jérémy Banster), love had finally triumphed with the marriage of Sofia (Marie- Clotilde Ramos-Ibáñez) and Élise (Malya Roman), that of Becker (Yvon Back) and Janet (Tonya Kinzinger), as well as the unexpected love story of Eve (Emma Colberti) and Manu (Moïse Santamaria).
In terms of intensity, twists and moments that we are not about to forget, 2022 has not been outdone. From the shock death of Myriam (Pauline Paolini) to the murderous madness of Christophe (Hubert Benhamdine), via the separation of Sofia and Élise or the brief marriage of Guilhem (Manuel Blanc), a look back at the most significant events of the past year before starting 2023 on a high.
Christophe’s murderous madness

Initially, Christophe was a character with a tidy life. However, he swung into a very dark side. An unpredictable character, he became the so-called “The Florist”. If he first treated the thugs to bail out the coffers, he quickly turned into a killer to protect those he loves.
Today, Christophe’s murderous madness is not about to stop and we take pleasure in following this complex character despite the atrocities he is capable of committing. But what would the veterinarian of Un Si Grand Soleil be without Hubert Benhamdine, his interpreter, who plays this serial killer to perfection by bringing him all the ambiguity necessary to make him an iconic character? In 2023, Christophe could well move up a notch and fall into horror. In any case, we can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for this character!
The war between Claire and Hélène

It was certainly, with Christophe’s slide towards the dark side, one of the most successful long-term intrigues of the year in Un Si Grand Soleil.
Claire (Mélanie Maudran), who had befriended her colleague Hélène (Sophie Le Tellier), saw her life turn into a nightmare because of this woman who gradually interfered in her daily life and has everything made to destroy it. Manipulation, will to harm, sequestration, attempted rape after being drugged… nothing was spared the heroine of the soap opera.
Although it was proven that Hélène had lost her mind due to drug treatment for hypertension, the “war” between the two ex-friends continued for long weeks. Claire can no longer bear to meet Hélène and see her get away with it so easily. And to make matters worse, Hélène fell in love… with Claire’s father! A soap plot as possible as we love them which was one of the highlights of the year.
The story of Enzo and Aurore

A difficult teenager, Enzo (Teïlo Azaïs) has become wiser and calmer. Inevitably, after such an evolution on the screen, the writers did not hesitate to abuse this character this year. Also, when he meets Aurore, an older young woman, it’s love at first sight but also the beginning of the problems. Indeed, Florent’s son is far from imagining that the woman he has fallen madly in love with is using him to get his father out of prison.
While this ark obviously ended in a bloodbath with the death of Aurore, Enzo blamed the blow and resented his father and grandfather for a long time. With this plot, it is a different Enzo that we have seen on the front of the stage.
Maryline’s departure

Rich in farewells and unexpected deaths, the year 2022 will have been marked in particular by the departure of Maryline. Falling in love with Paul (François-Eric Gendron), whom she met by chance at the supermarket, Maryline has agreed to follow him to Morocco, determined to write a new chapter of her life with him. Far from Montpellier and his son Gary (Alban Aumard).
If the soap opera has lost its “pillar of the roommate”, it is because the actress Elisabeth Margoni was beginning to be exhausted by the round trips between Montpellier and Brittany, where she resides. Maryline will be missed for sure. But the door remains open to a possible return. And she will in any case have had the right to a very beautiful starting arch, full of emotion.
Myriam’s shock death

This year, Un si grand soleil experienced many departures as well as the shock death of a character very popular with viewers. From cashier to general manager of L. Cosmétiques, passing through a few burglaries, Myriam Lévy, played by the sparkling Pauline Paolini, quickly established herself as a key character in Un Si Grand Soleil.
While she had found love in the arms of Marc Mourre (César Meric) to the point of considering having a baby with him, her tragic end put an end to this beautiful story and her meteoric rise. Born of a joint decision by Pauline Paolini and the production to offer Myriam a way out, her death is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this year 2022. Beyond the particularly moving scenes that this event caused, we will long miss this beautiful character in the series!
Kira’s (unreciprocated?) feelings for Louis

From friendship to love there is sometimes only one step. But Louis (Sylvain Boccara) has a hard time realizing this when it comes to his relationship with Kira (Coline Ramos-Pinto).
From the arrival of Louis and his family in the series last spring, a very beautiful friendship was born between the two teenagers. Kira, however, soon began to have feelings for her best friend. Before taking himself in the face that Louis considered her “like a sister”. Ouch.
Louis ended up getting into a relationship with Lili, one of their classmates, further increasing Kira’s jealousy and despair. As a result, their friendship suffered. But this relationship, which constitutes one of the most beautiful threads of the series, will experience new twists at the end of the year, when Louis will understand that Kira is in love with him.
Will they finally give themselves a chance? We strongly hope so, as the chemistry between Coline Ramos-Pinto and Sylvain Boccara, both of them with crazy accuracy, bursts the screen.
The love story of Damien and Thaïs

Nothing destined Damien (Pierre Andrau) and Thaïs (Lila Guiraud) to fall in love in Un Si Grand Soleil. And yet, the high school student and her teacher will have lived a brief love story against all odds. A forbidden story that unleashed passions and divided viewers of the France 2 soap opera before Damien met a tragic end.
An ark filled with emotion which will have made it possible to discover the young Lila Guiraud, the interpreter of Thaïs, who arrived this year to strengthen the cast of high school students.
The separation of Sofia and Elise

The beautiful love story of Sofia and Elise will not have lasted. While their marriage had been one of the events of 2021 in Un Si Grand Soleil, the last weeks of the year 2022 were marked by their separation. With losses and crashes.
The two women, mothers of little Charlie, had already gradually moved away – Sofia regularly reproaching her partner for abandoning her in favor of her job as a cop – when Elise cheated on his wife with Fanny, met in the context of ‘investigation. Despite having discovered the truth, Sofia seemed ready to give up and give their marriage a second chance. But then Elise told him that she no longer loved him. Before packing his bags and leaving to settle in the roommate with Bilal and Ludo.
A blow for the fans, who still hope that Elise and Sofia will manage to meet again in the more or less near future.
The complicated story of Yann and Johanna

If the rapprochement between Yann and Johanna was unexpected, it has all the ingredients to give birth to a very beautiful love story. Unfortunately, the past of the mysterious Lieutenant Cross prevents him from giving this story a real chance for the moment.
And for good reason, the policeman lost his wife three years earlier and is struggling to mourn this lost love. The opportunity to learn more about Yann and discover a much more fragile and clumsy Johanna than usual. Things are certainly at a standstill but nothing is lost yet. With the chemistry that exists between Aurore Delplace and Constantin Balsan, it would be a shame if their characters did not give each other a second chance in 2023.
The (brief) marriage of Guilhem

Will Guilhem one day have the right to happiness? This is the question that we are entitled to ask ourselves given the tragedy experienced by the lawyer embodied by Manuel Blanc at the end of 2022. After a very long history with Elisabeth Bastide who had unfortunately experienced a Sudden end a few years ago, Guilhem had fallen in love with Sylvie, a wealthy businesswoman whom he was quick to ask to marry.
Sadly, Sylvie was found dead at their home just days after their nuptials and Guilhem found himself charged with murder. Suspected of having wanted to inherit his wife’s fortune. A tragic arch that highlighted Manuel Blanc in a pretty way. And ended with a surprising revelation: it was all an owl’s fault!
