UNITED NATIONS, Sept 21 (Reuters) – Russia has committed a crime against Ukraine and Kyiv is demanding “just punishment” from Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky said on Wednesday in a video broadcast at the Assembly. General of the United Nations.
In a pre-recorded speech, Volodimir Zelensky outlined five non-negotiable conditions that must be met in order to achieve peace.
He also rejected the possibility of Ukraine accepting neutral status. Volodimir Zelensky also opposed any peace proposal other than that presented by Kyiv.
The conditions listed by the Ukrainian leader include a condemnation of Russian aggression, the restoration of Ukraine’s security and guarantees of its security and territorial integrity.
“The first of the conditions for our peace proposal is punishment”, declared Volodimir Zelensky. “Punishment for the crime of this aggression. Punishment for the violation of our borders and our territorial integrity.”
