The Uncharted license has been present in the video game landscape for years. Lately, players have been able to discover or rediscover Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy thanks to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which was released in early 2022 on PS5 and then on PC. Gold, don’t expect to see a new Uncharted opus coming.
Indeed, during a recent interview with journalists from BuzzFeed, Neil Druckmann spoke about the Uncharted license and thus declared: […] For us, Uncharted was wildly successful – Uncharted 4 was one of our best-selling games – and we were able to put our final brush to that story and say we’re done. We move on […] “.
So, as you will understand, Naughty Dog will not create new Uncharted game(s). Note, however, that during the interview, Neil Druckmann also talked about Naughty Dog’s other flagship license, The Last of Us, and indicated that the development studio does not rule out the possibility of developing a third installment.
