Unemployed addict – police catch perpetrators after robbery at pharmacy in Linz

A 30-year-old suspect from Linz has now been investigated as a suspected robber of a pharmacy in Linz’s Unionstraße. The unemployed addict confesses.

As reported, an initially unknown perpetrator attacked the pharmacy on Unionstrasse in Linz on June 17 at around 5:45 p.m. His face was covered with two FFP2 masks. At the time, the robber threatened the 52-year-old pharmacist with a kitchen knife and, in the local dialect, forced her to hand over medicines. However, none of those present were injured. The perpetrator then fled through the Untergaumberg underpass in the direction of Waldeggstrasse. He is unemployed and is said to regularly consume large amounts of narcotic drugs. Alleged motive for his robbery: strong withdrawal symptoms. The murder weapon was secured.
