Hélène Geoffroy was the guest of Europe 1 this Sunday morning. At the microphone of Jean-Pierre Elkabbach, the PS mayor of Vaulx-en-Velin, leader of the opposition to the NUPES alliance, strongly denounced the agreement between the PS and LFI for the legislative elections. According to her, the socialists have abandoned part of their convictions.

The agreement between LFI and the PS was officially recorded by the National Socialist Council. But dissenting voices are already being heard. In particular that of Hélène Geoffroy, PS mayor of Vaulx-en-Velin. At the microphone of Jean-Pierre Elkabbach, the leader of the opposition to the union of the left estimated that the socialists had “abandoned part of their convictions”.

No “program convergence”

According to her, the NUPES alliance is in no way a “convergence of programs” because the members of the PS “did not contribute anything”. “Jean-Luc Mélenchon said that he was carrying his entire program of the People’s Union”, she underlines on Europe 1. “All our pro-European commitments of always have not been particularly recalled, as well as our commitments to living it together”.

Parachuting of rebellious candidates

Like Jean-Christophe Cambadélis, Hélène Geoffroy believes that this agreement is a “surrender” or even a “shipwreck” for the Socialists. “It is an agreement which is a form of scam because in reality, what has been done is to say how the constituencies are distributed, some of which are on socialist land and on which a certain number will be parachuted number of candidates from rebellious France”, laments the Moor of Vaulx-en-Velin. “When we want to win a majority, we set out to conquer territories held by the right, by the Republic on the march. This is not what rebellious France did. She reserved these territories for us and she comes back on the lands where there are already the people of the left”.

Hélène Geoffroy is convinced that the dissidents of the Socialist Party, unfavorable to the agreement, will soon be in the majority. “We carry the capacity of the future. Because the radicalism in which we are locked in today will not allow us to govern”. For her, the NUPES alliance is not able to govern “since there was no union on a program and reflection”.
