United Airlines: 13.2% increase in turnover in the 3rd quarter

(CercleFinance.com) – United Airlines publishes a turnover of $12.8 billion for the 3rd quarter, a figure up 13.2% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019 and above expectations.

Remember that here, the year 2019 will serve as a reference since the 2020 and 2021 financial years, marked by the Covid, do not constitute relevant bases of comparison.

The airline posted quarterly adjusted EBITDA of $2 billion, stable compared to the same period in 2019, while adjusted net profit stood at $927 million, down 11.4%.

Quarterly adjusted EPS came to $2.81 versus $4.07 in the third quarter of 2019.

‘Despite growing concerns about an economic slowdown, the post-COVID recovery trends at work at United continue to prevail and we remain optimistic that we will continue to deliver strong financial results in the fourth quarter of 2023 and beyond. ‘, commented the general manager of United Airlines, Scott Kirby.
