United States: Confirmed improvement in household morale in April

PARIS (Reuters) – The morale of American households improved in April, the final results of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Friday.

Its confidence index rose to 65.2 from 59.4 in March Economists and analysts polled by Reuters on average expected a figure of 65.7 as in the first estimate.

The consumer judgment component on their current situation rose to 69.4 from 67.2 the previous month and the outlook component rose to 62.5 from 54.3.
