Elon Musk on Monday called on Americans to vote for the Republican Party in Tuesday’s midterm elections, in the name of balancing executive and legislative power. “Power sharing limits the worst excesses, so I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the presidency is a Democrat,” the new Twitter boss tweeted to his 114 million followers.
To independent-minded voters:
Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.

Concerns about possible political use of Twitter
This vote recommendation from Elon Musk will not fail to fuel concerns among Americans who fear a possible political use of the social network by the billionaire. The boss of Tesla and SpaceX promised that Twitter would remain politically neutral and that all opinions could be expressed there.
The Americans will vote Tuesday for the midterm elections, in order to renew all the seats of the House of Representatives, more than a third of the Senate and about thirty governorships. A ballot for which The Republicans appear in good shape.
