(Reuters) – The morale of American households has deteriorated more than expected since the beginning of November, the first results of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Friday.
Its confidence index fell to 54.7 from 59.9 in October as economists and analysts polled by Reuters on average expected a figure of 59.5.
The consumer judgment component of their current situation fell to 57.8 from 65.6 and the outlook component fell to 52.7 from 56.2.
