(Boursier.com) — The figures for American industrial production for the month of August announced this Friday confirm the resilience of the economy. Industrial production increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month according to the Fed, against +0.1% of market consensus and +0.7% for the revised reading of the previous month. Manufacturing production increased by 0.1% compared to July, in line with economists’ expectations, after an increase of 0.4% in revised reading over the previous month. The production capacity utilization rate stood at 79.7%, compared to 79.3% consensus and 79.5% in July.
