At the end of November, she arrives in this bathroom and begins to knock down the section of the wall behind the shower. She then discovered the beehive, which stretched over nearly two meters in height. “There was honey everywhere: on the walls, the floor, on my shoes, the doorknobs”, says Elisha Bixler in an interview with New York Times.
This beekeeper is however an expert in impressive interventions, which she regularly posts on her TikTok account, “How is your day, honey”. “This is my first shower clearance”, however, admitted the professional jokingly, more used to removing beehives from roofs, sheds or trees.
However, the impressive number of bees did not prevent her from acting as she is accustomed to doing. Rather than exterminate them, Elisha Bixler managed to isolate the queen from the hive, twice the size of a normal queen. Recovering the other bees, she was also able to distribute them to new colonies, within her own beekeeping farm.
