(CercleFinance.com) – Walmart and UnitedHealth announce the start of an initial 10-year, ‘far-reaching’ collaboration, bringing together the collective expertise of both companies to serve millions of people with affordable, high-quality health services ‘.
This collaboration will begin in 2023 with 15 Walmart Health locations in Florida and Georgia, then expand to new regions, ultimately serving hundreds of thousands of Medicare (U.S. seniors health coverage) beneficiaries.
Optum, a division of UnitedHealth, will help clinicians at Walmart Health with analytics and decision support tools. The agreement may expand to other products and services over time, as well as commercial plan and Medicaid beneficiaries.
