UnitedHealth: towards a sale of activities in Brazil


(CercleFinance.com) – UnitedHealth Group indicates that it has reached an agreement to sell its activities in Brazil to a private investor, a transaction which is expected to be finalized during the first half of 2024, subject to regulatory and other conditions.

The insurance and health services group expects to book a charge of approximately $7 billion (excluded from adjusted profit), the majority of which will be non-cash and related to the cumulative impact of foreign exchange losses. .

The 2024 reported net profit outlook will be impacted by this expected charge, but UnitedHealth confirms its adjusted profit outlook presented at its November 29 investor meeting.
