Samsung has unveiled the date of its next Unpacked event, logically dedicated to its folding smartphones – the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4. It will therefore be, as usual, for mid-August.
Samsung has been shunning the traditional back-to-school IFA for many years, preferring its own event to the Berlin show, organized in the heart of summer. His Unpacked is usually held in the early days of August, and 2022 will be no exception. The South Korean is indeed starting to talk about his conference through a coded message posted on his social networks. Once the colored dots are associated with the corresponding number, we get the date of August 10, even if Samsung has not “officially” announced it.
One year after the Unpacked of August 11, 2021, which hosted the presentation of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, but also that of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, or even the Galaxy Buds 2 on the headphone side, this 2022 edition leaves little doubt as to what awaits lovers of mobile terminals. Rumors are indeed rife concerning the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, not to mention the Watch 5, giving hope of their announcement during this event.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4, a folding model like its elders, would sport a more discreet fold and adopt a slightly less stretched format than that of the Z Fold 3. We are also expecting the integration of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm, 12 GB of RAM and a battery with a capacity still limited to 4,400 mAh. The Galaxy Z Flip 4, in clamshell format, would benefit from an increased battery capacity, to 3,700 mAh against 3,300 mAh previously. Elements still meager, but the usual information leaks should allow to get an idea of the smartphones before their official presentation.
