Cult actor Holger Franke celebrates his return

No fan would have expected that: The “Unter uns” veteran Holger Franke celebrates a short return as Wolfgang Weigel.
An iconic Unter Uns character is making a temporary return in just a few days! Holger Franke (67) was again in front of the camera for RTL-Daily and will be seen again next week in his role as master confectioner Wolfgang Weigel. For around 15 years – and since the first episode – Franke played the character, but in 2009 the character actually died in the series.
According to a press release, fans can already see the actor, who is also known from “Polizeiruf 110”, “Verbotene Liebe” and “In aller Hoffnung” in episode 6943. RTL (also on RTL+) shows the episode on September 1st from 5:30 p.m.
Holger Franke comes “back home”
“For a long time I’ve had something like stage fright again,” Franke is quoted as saying in the message. “But also curiosity about the new actors, with whom I’ve never played together. On the other hand, but also the feeling of familiarity to go to a set that I’ve known well for decades, it’s a feeling of coming home again. ” The viewers can therefore “look forward to an extremely funny encounter of the third kind”.
But how exactly does Wolfgang Weigel come back? Beware, spoilers: Sina Hirschberger (Valea Scalabrino, 32) suffers from insomnia after an attack by a dealer. But nothing seems to help and so Pia Lassner (Yvonne de Bark, 50) is able to convince Sina of hypnotherapy. After she is put into a trance, her father Wolfgang appears to her, whom she only knows from photos and whom she never got to know. The two get along right away and the master confectioner gives her good advice. The broadcaster shares a first impression, among other things the official Instagram channel of the series.
