Until Dawn: hard blow, PC players ignore the remaster

PlayStation And Ballistic Moon launched last week Until Dawn, a remastered version of the narrative horror game from Supermassive Games. A title available on PlayStation 5, but also on PC, where the game at the time was only released on the home console of Sony.

Until Dawn remaster 02 14 08 2024

Despite the plot and horrific qualities of the title, PC players shunned Until Dawn. On Steamthe game has “average” evaluations, the fault of optimization concerns and especially the obligation to connect to an account PlayStation Network which still irritates players so much. The result is clear, Until Dawn is a huge failure on PC.

According to data from SteamDB, Until Dawn brought together 2,607 players simultaneously this Saturday, a very low attendance peakespecially when compared to the 458,709 players of Helldiverse 2 or to the 77,154 players of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cutwhich did not require an account PSN to play solo. Until Dawn is already in limbo for games published by PlayStation Publishing on PCalongside Concord And Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

Difficult to know if players are shunning the title because of the PSN or simply because it is an old remastered title with technical flaws, but in any case, Sony strings together bad launches on Steam, God of War Ragnarok had brought together half as many players as the previous opus when it was launched last month.

You can still buy Until Dawn has €62.99 (- 10%) on Amazon.
