survival horror worship of 2008, Dead Space was treated to a remake at the very beginning of the year by Motive Studio And EA Games, enough to make gamers tremble with modern graphics technologies. But the title originally designed by Visceral Games inspires many people.
This is the case of Fraser Brumley, an independent and amateur developer who has just launched for free on itch.io Dead Space Demake, a reimagining of the horror game with PlayStation sauceas if it had been released in 1998. A fun little project, its designer explains that he wanted to learn how to use the game engine UnrealEnginebut the title is particularly faithful to the originalwith the inventory to manage, the health displayed on the hero’s suit and of course the laser cutter to dismember the enemies, all in an atmosphere with large polygons.
