Unusual: the Stallone look-alike sings Rambo on the JT set in 1985, and it’s as WTF as it is tasty!

It’s a completely WTF and tasty sequence from French TV. When “Rambo 2: the mission” was released, the official Rambo / Stallone look-alike was invited to the TV news set of Antenne 2, in 1985. Attention… It’s cult!

We must bless the INA for keeping the television archives preciously within it. In its treasure chests, we would be remiss if we missed out on nuggets like the one that was broadcast during the Antenne 2 newscast on October 16, 1985. At the time of the release in France of the film Rambo 2: the mission , the channel’s midday newscast, presented by a Noël Mamère journalist and not yet an MP, invited a certain Wayne Scott, an official Rambo / Stallone look-alike.

If the person concerned obviously answers questions about his relationship with the character and the real Sylvester Stallone, he will also crack a little song in tribute to Rambo on the set.

A pre-recorded sequence in fact, with the reinforcement of extras / assailants, just to be even more in the shoes of the former green beret of Vietnam… The result? A great moment of WTF as TV has offered us, to enjoy below without moderation!

What’s even tastier is seeing the look-alike evolve in the very clip of Rambo’s song, This Time we’re gonna win. A title that obviously sounds like revenge for the American defeat of the Vietnam War, still far from being digested in 1985, in a Reagan America with warmongering accents…

Wayne Scott was not the real name of this Stallone look-alike, but Joe Gentissi, who even had a role in a dwarf SF film released in 1986 and directed by the obscure Brett Piper, Galaxy Destroyer.
