Unvaccinated at a 2G plus party?
Authority initially considers vaccination certificate to be falsified
Ex-Werder trainer Markus Anfang is coming under increasing pressure because of his vaccination certificate. According to the prosecutor, there are several inconsistencies in the document. It is also known that Anfang attended an event that was only permitted for vaccinated and recovered people.
The allegations against the resigned coach of the second division soccer club Werder Bremen, Markus Anfang, are substantiated. According to the public prosecutor’s office, two appointments in a Cologne vaccination center are documented in the vaccination card that the 47-year-old presented. According to the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians who operate this vaccination center, the centre’s IT system did not initially record any of the two appointments.
The public prosecutor therefore assumes that the vaccination card of the former Bundesliga professional is forged. Your investigations have also shown that the batch number of the vaccine given at the beginning of the first appointment was never inoculated. According to the Public Prosecutor Frank Passade, the batch number of the second appointment was inoculated – but not on the day specified in the opening document.
This means that even at the beginning, participation in a party in Cologne appears in a different light. As the portal “Deichstube” reports, the trainer celebrated the start of the carnival season in the Maritim Hotel in the cathedral city on November 11th. Accordingly, the 47-year-old is said to have invited employees from his function team at Werder to the event. How many people accepted the invitation is not known.
Authority noticed irregularities
The party in the foyer of the hotel was, however, a 2G-plus event. Thus, only vaccinated or recovered people with a daily corona test would have had access. If the vaccination certificate really turns out to be a fake from the start, the 47-year-old could have gained unauthorized access to the party.
On Thursday evening it became known that the alleged use of a forged vaccination certificate was being investigated towards the beginning. The Bremen health department reported him to the public prosecutor’s office because the authority had noticed several irregularities in the certificate. For example, on the day of his supposed first vaccination appointment in Cologne, the beginning is said to have had an away game with his then club SV Darmstadt 98 in Würzburg.
After the allegations, the beginning of Saturday resigned from his position as Werder coach. The association spoke of a “very clear circumstantial situation”. At the beginning, assistant coach Florian Junge also left the club. Investigations are underway against him on suspicion of falsification of vaccination records. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the beginning has now hired a lawyer, but has not yet made a statement on the allegations made against him. The soccer teacher had previously assured that he was vaccinated and denied the allegations.
