A Korean leaker with a mixed record suggests that the first iPad Pro OLED, which is scheduled to launch in early 2024, will be available with a storage level of 4TB.
According to “yeux1122” on the Korean blog Naver, Apple will double the storage capacity of next-generation iPad Pro models compared to its current 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, both of which cap out at 2TB of storage. While that’s good enough for most users, some will be happy to see Apple increase the maximum storage on its tablets.
As a reminder, the iPad Pro is due for a redesign in early 2024, with the main change being the inclusion of an OLED screen instead of a miniLED panel on the larger model. If this new leak turns out to be accurate, Apple would therefore prepare two important changes for this generation.

The iPad could benefit from 4 TB of storage, a record
Apple first offered a 2TB storage option with the older fifth-generation iPad Pro, which delighted the most demanding users. Current sixth-generation iPad Pro models notably support ProRes video recording up to 4K at 30 frames per second, and this feature is quite storage-intensive.
Incidentally, increasing the maximum storage to 4TB would likely result in another change. If Apple really were to make this change, it would also likely increase base storage to 256GB to maintain five capacity categories, which would make all seventh-generation models capable of recording ProRes in 4K at 30 frames per second. As a reminder, as on the iPhone 13 Pro and 14 Pro, it is not possible to use the feature on models equipped with only 128 GB of storage.
It now remains to be seen at what price this new version could arrive with 4 TB of storage. You already have to pay no less than 2849 euros for the latest tablet with 2 TB of storage, which means that a new model should easily exceed 3000 euros.
