Constance Confides in Ferdinand About Her Hidden Truth
Within the Institute’s greenhouse, Constance encounters Ferdinand to discuss her earlier conversation with Bérénice, aiming to put an end to her inquiries. They both agree on fabricating a story of an affair.
Shortly after, Rose arrives on the scene. Ferdinand demands that she appoint him as the second-in-command at the restaurant-laboratory. He threatens to disclose the video of Constance’s confession regarding the secret he holds if Rose fails to comply with his wishes.
Meanwhile, at the marshes’ shared residence, Emi confides in Carla and Bérénice about her awareness of the affair between Constance and Ferdinand, which she overheard during a conversation between her roommate and sister last Friday. Although she is willing to keep the secret, she expresses her disapproval of Rose’s decisions regarding the Master due to this situation.
Later, at the Workshop, Rose implements a rotation system for the second position among the students, opting to replace Emi with Ferdinand. This decision ignites Lionel’s anger, resulting in his firm refusal. While Ferdinand is away, Emi takes the chance to inform the rest of the brigade about what she knows.
Emi and Lionel resolve to approach the management office to notify Leroy. They explain that Ferdinand is blackmailing Rose to protect Constance, with whom he had an affair. The two students express their willingness to leave the Master if Rose continues to prioritize Ferdinand. Leroy assures them he will investigate the matter. Just then, he receives a call from Teyssier.
Leroy confronts Rose and Constance about the information he has just acquired. Both women remain tight-lipped, leading Leroy to express his disappointment in their lack of trust. Before departing, he warns them that Teyssier has chosen to return to Paris and is already en route.
Later in the park, Tom confronts Bérénice for shielding her sister, which he believes contributes to the ongoing issues within the Master. Frustrated by his derogatory comments about Constance, Bérénice loses her temper and slaps him. Teyssier, who has just arrived at the Institute, witnesses the altercation. Tom seizes the moment to spill everything to the director.
Returning home, Constance is confronted by her husband, who inquires about her alleged affair with Ferdinand. Constance denies any wrongdoing but admits she had to convince Bérénice of the affair to stop her incessant questioning. She reveals that Ferdinand is blackmailing her, as he knows she is responsible for her father’s death…
Alice Realizes Her Feelings for Gaëtan
In the park, Alice shares with Hortense and Stanislas that she is experimenting with a recipe inspired by a dream, combining licorice and sun-dried tomatoes. Hortense eagerly offers to assist her friend in creating a pastry with this unique combination. However, despite numerous attempts, they are unable to achieve the desired result.
Frustrated, Hortense steps outside for a breather and encounters Joachim, who mentions that sun-dried tomatoes are Gaëtan’s favorite. Back in the studio, Hortense gently nudges Alice to recognize that her culinary dream may reflect her feelings for Gaëtan. With her friend’s insight, the pastry teacher comes to the realization that she is indeed falling in love.
Clotilde Takes Action on Student Cleanliness
While wandering through the boarding school lounge, Clotilde is appalled to discover that the area resembles a pigsty. Determined to address the issue, she inspects the students’ rooms, making similar observations. She is particularly disgusted by the condition of Mattéo and Jude’s room, especially since Jude is absent.
Back in her office, Clotilde assigns Cléo the task of creating an Excel spreadsheet to rank the cleanliness of the students. This spreadsheet is later displayed for all to see. Mattéo and Jude earn the dubious honor of being named the “Pigsty of the Week.” Noticing Mattéo scratching himself, Solal begins to worry about the possibility of bedbugs.
