Even if the acquisition ofActivision-Blizzard by Microsoft is not yet acted, the manufacturer of the Xbox regularly highlights the studio’s games, and it was Overwatch 2 that made an appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023. It must be said that the Season 5 will be launched on June 13, but the developers have mainly presented a new game mode, Invasion.
You know, the true fashion PvE ofOverwatch 2 will not see the light of day as it should have been, but Blizzard did not trash the cooperative content, it will recycle it with Invasionwhich will introduce new story missionsunlockable cosmetic content and a mode pvp bonus. And above all, it will introduce a brand new Hero of Support, teased at the end of the trailer above.
The scripted missions will be titled here The Rise of Null Sectorwith obviously tensions between humans and Omniacs. The latter have created combat robots, the Sector Zero, which players will have to face in squads over three new cooperative missions in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Gothenburg. In addition to this, a bonus cooperative mission will take us to King’s Rowwhere it will be necessary to escort the robot TS-1 fashion Pressure with Trace and his friendswhile eliminating the forces of Sector Zero. The mode PvP Hotspot will also appear, with two new maps where you will have to occupy three control points before the opposing team, requiring reflexes to eliminate enemies and organize an attack strategy.
