Urbex: the production of Fort Boyard files a complaint against a YouTuber

Louise Bernard

The videographer, a fan of urbex or filmed urban exploration, had illegally entered the site of France 2’s flagship program last year. In a video of almost thirty minutes, MaxVon Coft recounted his intrusion on the site, in hibernation at the time of the facts, which greatly annoyed the production.

It is not a participant of the show who refused to answer Father Fouras but a YouTuber who illegally entered the well-known Fort Boyard. A year ago, Max Von Coft filmed his intrusion to show his exploration of the place. In his long video, he shares his impressions of the two days he spent at the site, empty since there was no filming during the events. Released in September, this video greatly annoyed the production of the show Fort Boyard, according to our colleagues from Parisian. So much so that she decided to file a complaint.

A spectacular filmed arrival

Accustomed to getting at best ten or fifteen thousand views on his videos, the YouTuber has almost 300,000 views for his exploration of the fort. His images, and his arrival on the site are indeed quite spectacular: we see him arriving in the middle of the night on a kayak, before climbing the wall of twenty meters, all in abseiling. Spectacular images certainly, but dangerous and illegal, hence the anger of the producers.

With their complaint, they intend to “mark the occasion and dissuade other people from having the same idea”. “We do not want to find a corpse in the Fort,” they said. MaxVon Cost will be tried in mid-September.
