A French duo has developed a tool that helps provide remote care. And this system shines, in France and abroad.

If French Tech is going through a complicated period, with a bursting of the financing bubble, this ecosystem can still count on a certain number of undeniable successes. One of them, Urgentime, launched by a French duo, one of whom was trained at Xavier Niel’s 42 school, is one of these success stories, with a product that has even crossed the Atlantic Ocean!

Urgentime, a health tool for remote viewing

Jovien Chappex and Anthony Tabuyo, these are the two names behind Urgentime. A tool that allows health services, Samu (15) or firefighters (18), requested by an emergency call, to send a connection link to the caller’s phone.

By clicking on it, the telephone service obtains control of the smartphone camera, and can therefore directly observe the suffering person, in order to be able to give the most appropriate advice for emergency first aid.

Urgentime wants to help emergency services during accidents

The United States loves it

And the concept works! It was used for the first time by a SAMU service in 2019, and became widespread in a few years, to the point that currently, a quarter of these services now use Urgentime. They are not the only ones to have made the tool a part of their daily lives.

Because Urgentime has since enjoyed great success in Switzerland, where it currently equips a third of emergency call centers, but also in the United States. In Uncle Sam’s country, there are now 900 call centers answering the famous “911” number (firefighters, emergency doctors, but also police officers) to have access to the Urgentime solution.

A success that the duo wants to make even better, by increasing their visibility, in particular thanks to an appearance this Wednesday evening on the M6 show, “Who wants to be my partner? » « With this solution, one in ten lives can be saved that would not have been saved under other circumstances. So, we will not give up until all emergency call centers are staffed » indicates, confidently, Anthony Tabuyo.
